Mission & Vision

BIC ServicesMission & Vision

The United Nations defines ecotourism as a kind of sustainable tourism that contributes to the preservation of natural and cultural heritage. Over the past two decades, the concept of ecotourism has evolved significantly, targeting travelers looking for tours with a minimal negative impact on the environment.

BIC ServicesMission

“Outstanding people have one thing in common: an absolute sense of mission.” Zig Ziglar

BIC Services has at the core of its mission one all-encompassing strategy to transform the African continent and her 1.43 billion people to live and thrive better. At BIC Services, we strongly believe organizations can deploy a key, little-known (much less-used) tool to attain higher living standards for hundreds of millions on the continent and the Middle East.

BIC Services possesses the expertise and experience to help African and Middle Eastern leaders and their private sectors make well thought out and focused decisions that would uplift millions of lives out of poverty. By judiciously and sustainably applying ECOTOURISM, Africa and the Middle East would gradually leave poverty behind. This tool would bridge the gap between environmental conservationists without sacrificing economic development efforts. It would reconcile the urgent need to alleviate poverty and raise living standards without destroying the environmental or natural resources that could negatively affect our planet.

BIC Services is poised to guide national entities in applying this tool to achieve the expected results or goals on the ground through various forums ranging from seminars, colloquiums, symposia,  national conferences, and intra-African and Intra-Arabian conventions.

BIC ServicesVision

Business International Consultants LLC, hereinafter referred to simply as “BIC Services,” is a consulting firm that wants to get Africa’s and the Middle East’s leaders to embrace a new paradigm in their economic development drive. We know most of them genuinely want to see a  transformation of their states/nations and, of course, better living standards for their fellow Africans and Arabs. BIC Services is ready and capable of helping these leaders and the tens of millions of constituents they serve currently wallowing in abject poverty adopt new strategies and tools to deploy new drivers of their economies. We envision an Africa that:

  • would no longer be the laughing stock in the international arena,
  • would be able to trade on an equal and fair basis with the rest of the world,
  • would be able to use her natural endowments to alleviate poverty, raise living standards and the human development index while protecting and conserving the natural environment for humankind’s survival on planet earth, and
  • would ultimately insist on building only mutually beneficial relationships with nations worldwide as equal partners.

“To succeed in your mission, you must have single-minded devotion to your goal.” Abdul Kalam

Africa is part of the “world’s lungs” that emits the oxygen the planet needs as it captures carbon dioxide and saves humankind from extinction with her vast forest cover. BIC Services envisions an Africa where freedom reigns and infant mortality is reduced to only 1 or 2 children per 1,000 live births would die under the age of one from the current 47 deaths per every 1,000 live births within a decade. We are reimagining an Africa without fratricidal wars, one at peace with her 1.43 billion citizens and residents. At BIC Services, we similarly envision a Middle East that will gradually turn to Ecotourism and tourism as the drivers of the region’s economy as fossil fuels lose value to EV (Electric Vehicles) and AV (Autonomous Vehicles). That is the bold vision and grand ambition of the BIC Team.

01Africa

Africa is the continent to visit for many reasons. All humankind originated in Africa, and the umbilical cord of the entire human race - all races included - is buried in Africa. Africa is the cradle of humanity, and the first life forms emerged in Africa some 3.8 billion years ago. Truth seekers go to Africa to immerse themselves in Ethiopia, the land where the original woman Lucy originated approximately 3.6 million years ago.

Go to the lands in East and Southern Africa to see where the first human-like mammals emerged 200 million years ago. Go to Africa to see where our most recent ancestors – the homosapiens – emerged only seven million years back.

Yes, Africa is that veritable Garden of Eden where human imagination and creativity began. Whether
you are an Evotourist, Ecotourist, Agritourist, Digital Nomad, Bleisure, or Traditional tourist, Africa is the
place to experience it all; the land of the Pharaohs and the still mind-boggling unsolved technological mystery of the Pyramids of Egypt awaits you. Plan your trip to the land of humankind’s ancestors and relive Planet Earth's rich and fulfilling history.

You may be surprised to learn that Christianity began in Ethiopia, Africa in the 4th Century as it did in
Rome, after Emperor Constantine I, legalized it in Europe. You will also want to see the mysterious Granite
Obelisk in Ethiopia. For the earliest Christian Orthodox Church, visit the site of the former Aksum
Empire where the Tewahedo Church stands with more than half the population (about 60 million
people) worship till this day.

If you wish to see the massive landmass that could absorb the United States, China, and Europe (minus Russia), India, Japan, and Mexico, visit Africa. This may be a shocking revelation to you but far from surprising to the scientific community. The fact is, Africa makes the world function better with her minerals, and with 60% of the world’s arable land, she can feed the world. Overall, Africa contributes significantly to maintain life on Earth with her vast oxygen-producing forest cover – part of the world’s “lungs.”

Eco-Tourism

The historic UN Resolution declaring a healthy environment as a human right is compatible with the vision and mission of Business International Consultants LLC, in operation for over a decade but under this new name since June 2018. There is no gainsaying that the contents of this landmark UN resolution align perfectly with the core activities and raison d'etre of the firm Business International Consultants LLC, with headquarters in Dallas, Texas, USA. BIC LLC has at its disposal one very important tool recognized decades ago by its founder as being capable of achieving the needed twin goals of environmental protection/biodiversity conservation and poverty alleviation through sustainable economic development.

That little-known, much less applied tool is ecotourism. Ecotourism remains the most viable and effective tool that, if thoughtfully applied, managed, and monitored, can easily achieve the goals and objectives contained in this landmark UN resolution of July 28, 2022. The team at BIC LLC has long been thinking globally and acting locally. Our founder recognized the power and potential of ECOTOURISM after June 1992 following the successfully convened United Nations Convention on Environment and Development in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. As it turns out, the secret was hidden in plain sight in a special document entitled "The Agenda 21 for the Travel and Tourism Industry."

By judiciously and sustainably applying Ecotourism with the ESG framework or principles, BIC's goals of contributing to the transformation of these two regions into green economies would be enhanced. Inclusivity, holistic development and common sense best practices would attain these goals. The post- pandemic world needs these measures to foster the rebound of the Travel & Tourism industry.

Middle East

Today, the Middle East has forward-looking and visionary leaders. They have taken preemptive
measures to begin the diversification of their region’s economy as the world incrementally transitions
from fossil fuels to electric vehicles and subsequent autonomous driving vehicles. The UAE’s Dubai began this transition long ago, even as oil still powered its rapid economic growth.

Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 aims to develop about 50 islands on its Red Sea coast, covering approximately 200 kilometers, into a modern-day tourism “El Dorado.” This envisioned $4.5 billion mega tourism and ecotourism project financed by the Saudi Sovereign Wealth Fund and directed by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman would transform the Kingdom. With tourism already contributing about $65 billion to the economy pre-pandemic, we can expect rapid post-pandemic growth as greenness is the catchword for the future of tourism in the region.

Dubai is equally investing substantially in ecotourism, as seen in the Al Marmoon Desert Conservation Reserve, which is set to become one of Dubai’s most prominent outdoor tourist attractions. Artificial lakes, oases, and more are the attractions being put into place.

Meanwhile, Qatar, Oman, and Kuwait are planning major investments in their tourism and ecotourism sectors in keeping with the times as oil gradually loses value slowly but surely. In the Middle East, sound investment and the latest technologies are transforming once large swathes of desert land into evergreen environments with bird life, wildlife, and leisure tourism. Can both the Namib and Sahara deserts learn a thing or two from the breath-taking transformations occurring in their neighbors to the northeast? We believe the answer is a resounding YES!
